पेड़ काटने को लेकर हुए विवाद के कारण मां की हत्या का प्रयास करने वाले बेटे को दस वर्षों का सश्रम कारावास, मेदिनीपुर जिला अदालत ने सुनाई सजा है। जानाकरी के अनुसार रतन जाना नामक अभियुक्त को मेदिनीपुर जिला अदालत के जज ने दस वर्ष की सश्रम सजा व पैसे की अदायगी ना कर पाने पर 6 माह की अतिरिक्त सजा का प्रावधान किया है। जानाकारी के अनुसार खड़गपुर अनुमंडल के मोहनपुर थाना के इलाके की रहने वाली जयंती जाना को 7 मार्च को उसके अपने बेटे ने पारिवारिक विवाद में सब्बल से जानलेवा हमला कर दिया था जिसके बाद वृद्धा ने मोहनपुर थाना में शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी प लिस रतन को गिरफ्तार किया जिसके बाद गवाहों के आधार पर रतन को दोषी पाया गया। सरकारी पक्ष के वकील मृण्मय घोष ने बताया कि मोहनपुर में मां पर जानलेवा हमले का दोषी पा थर्ड एडिशनल डिस्ट्रिक्ट जज कुसुमिता दे ने बेटे रतन को दोषी पा उक्त सजा सुनाई।

महिला की लाश झुलती अवस्था में मिली

खड़गपुर अनुमंडल के दांतन थाना के कुलिंदा गांव के रहने वाली नबनिता मोहंती नामक 35 वर्षीय महिला ने गुरुवार की दोपहर को अपने घर में फांसी लगा आत्महत्या कर ली पता चला है कि नबनिता की सास को कैंसर है कल उसे मेदिनीपुर कीमो के लिए लाया गया था तभी घर मे एकांत पा नबनिता फंदे में झुल गई। पता चला है कि नबनिता मानसिक अवसाद ग्रस्त थी उसका एक बेटा भी है।
