REGULATION OF TRAINS DUE TO DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS IN CHAKRADHARPUR DIVISION

 

 

Kolkata, 12th February, 2025

 

In view of developmental works in Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway, the following trains will be regulated as under:

 

Cancellation of Trains

 

1) 68043/68044 Tatanagar-Rourkela-Tatanagar MEMU will remain cancelled from 12.02.2025 to 14.02.2025

 

2) 58659 Hatia-Rourkela Passenger will remain cancelled from 11.02.2025 to 13.02.2025

 

3) 58660 Rourkela-Hatia Passenger will remain cancelled from 12.02.2025 to 14.02.2025

 

4) 18175/18176 Hatia-Jharsuguda-Hatia Express will remain cancelled on 12.02.2025

 

5) 18109/18110 Tatanagar – NSCB Itwari-Tatanagar Express will remain cancelled on 13.02.2025 & 14.02.2025

 

6) 58151/58152 Birmitrapur-Barsuan-Birmitrapur Passenger will remain cancelled on 14.02.2025

 

Rescheduling of Train

 

1. 22861 Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express will leave Howrah at 9.00 hours instead of 06.30 hours on 13.02.2025.

Union Railway Minister and Chairman, Railway Board visits the war room to review and monitor the situation, directing officials to run trains in all directions

For the past three days, Indian Railways has been operating an average of 330 trains daily to assist devotees return their home safely

 

Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwani Vaishnaw along with CEO & CRB, Shri Satish Kumar today reviewed crowd management situation of Prayagraj Railway stations in the war room at Rail Bhavan. The Minister instructed officials to ensure that trains are made available for pilgrims in all directions. He also mentioned that the Prayagraj division has been directed to run extra trains as needed to ease passenger congestion while ensuring passenger comfort in the holding areas.

According to the Mahakumbh Railway Information Bulletin, by 6:00 PM today (12 February 2025), 225 trains had been run for the convenience of passengers, with over 12.46 lakh passengers having traveled. On Tuesday, 11 February 2025, 343 trains were operated, carrying more than 14.69 lakh passengers. Information related to trains is continuously being provided by Indian Railways through various channels—including special bulletins, the Mahakumbh area holding zones, railway stations, social media, and other media outlets.

 

For the convenience of passengers, four holding areas near Prayagraj junction railway station (each with a capacity of 5,000) have fully been operational. Additionally, a new holding area at Khusrobagh with a capacity 100,000 passengers has been operational today on the occasion of Maghi Purnima with Special arrangements for lodging, meals, and other essentials have been made so that waiting passengers can stay comfortably until they board their trains.

All passengers are advised to obtain information only from official sources and to avoid any unverified reports and misleading information.

Hon’ble MLA/Haldia, Smt. Tapasi Mondal, today had a meeting with DRM Kharagpur in his chamber. Railway-related issues of the Haldia area were discussed during the meeting.

SPECIAL CLEANLINESS DRIVE

 

A 15-day special cleaning drive has been launched from 29.01.2025 to 12.02.2025 by the Kharagpur division. During the drive special efforts are being ensured to maintain cleanliness of railway stations, railway colonies, and Railway premises.

 

Unauthorized banners, posters, hoardings, loose wires, and garbage are being removed from different station premises and railway residential areas of the Kharagpur Division. Intensive cleaning of DRM office premises and South side colonies at Kharagpur was carried out on January 29th and February 1st Unauthorized banners, posters, hoardings were taken down and loose wires were secured.

 

On 5th February, unauthorized banners and hoardings were removed from the Kendriya Vidyalaya area of Kharagpur. Today the cleaning drive was carried out at the Gole bazaar area of Kharagpur, where heaps of garbage along with unauthorizedly hanging banners and hoardings were removed.

 

Awareness campaigns along with Swachhta Chaupal and nukkad nataks are being organized at the major stations of this division such as Kharagpur, Shalimar, Santragachi, Mecheda, Baleshwar etc.

 

Anti-littering drive & cleaning of drains are also being organized at different stations and Railway Residential colonies of this division. The drive will be continued to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the Railway premises,

 

This Railway also requests the cooperation from the Rail users and general public in ensuring clean and hygienic environment around their residential and work places. Dustbins should be used inside the Railway station area and littering should be avoided as it is also a punishable offence under the Indian Railway Act.
