आईआईटी खड़गपुर में तीसरे वर्ष के छात्र की दुखद हानि
खड़गपुर, 12 जनवरी, 2025 – पूरी तरह से सदमे की भावना के साथ, आईआईटी खड़गपुर के छात्र, कर्मचारी और संकाय सदस्य इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग के तीसरे वर्ष के छात्र श्री शॉन मलिक, रोल नंबर 22EE10082 की अचानक मृत्यु पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त करते हैं। . श्री मलिक 12 जनवरी, 2025 की सुबह अपने निवास परिसर के आज़ाद हॉल में मृत पाए गए थे।
घटना का पता चलने पर, परिसर की सुरक्षा और चिकित्सा टीमों को तुरंत सतर्क कर दिया गया। पुलिस अधिकारियों को सूचित कर दिया गया है। उनका परिवार पहले से ही कैंपस में है. पुलिस श्री मलिक की मौत से जुड़ी परिस्थितियों की गहन जांच कर रही है। आईआईटी अथॉरिटी ने दावा किया कि संस्थान अधिकारियों के साथ पूरा सहयोग कर रहा है।
श्री मलिक अकादमिक रूप से प्रतिभाशाली छात्र थे, (9 सीजीपीए से ऊपर), जो अपनी बुद्धिमत्ता, समर्पण और इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग के क्षेत्र में आशाजनक भविष्य के लिए जाने जाते थे। वह द्रुहीन – बंगाली टेक्नोलॉजी ड्रामेटिक्स सोसाइटी, आईआईटी खड़गपुर के एक सक्रिय सदस्य थे।
इस दुखद घटना से संस्थान सदमे में है। इस समय हमारी सबसे बड़ी प्राथमिकता श्री मलिक के परिवार और दोस्तों के प्रति अपनी हार्दिक संवेदना और समर्थन बढ़ाना है। हम इस अविश्वसनीय कठिन समय में उनकी मदद करने के लिए सभी आवश्यक सहायता प्रदान कर रहे हैं।

Tragic Loss of a Third-Year Student at IIT Kharagpur
Kharagpur, January 12, 2025 – With a sense of utter shock, the Students, Staff and Faculty members of IIT Kharagpur deeply mourn the sudden loss of Mr. Shaon Malik, Roll no 22EE10082, a third-year student from the Department of Electrical Engineering. Mr. Malik was found dead in his Azad Hall of residence premises in the morning of January 12, 2025.
Upon discovery of the incident, the campus security and medical teams were immediately alerted. Police authorities have been informed. His family is already on the campus. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Malik’s death. The institute is fully cooperating with the authorities.
Mr. Malik was an academically gifted student, (CGPA above 9), known for his intelligence, dedication, and promising future in the field of Electrical Engineering. He was an active Member of Druheen – Bengali Technology Dramatics Society, IIT Kharagpur.
The institute is devastated by this tragic event. Our foremost priority at this moment is to extend our heartfelt condolences and support to Mr. Malik’s family and friends. We are providing all necessary assistance to help them through this incredibly difficult time.
