With a view to clear the extra rush of passengers, it has been decided to continue the running of Special Trains as per the given schedule:-
1) 02837 Santragachi-Puri Special will continue to run till 27.12.2024
2) 02838 Puri-Santragachi Special will continue to run till 28.12.2024
3) 08011 Bhanjpur-Puri Special will continue to run till 28.12.2024
4) 08012 Puri-Bhanjpur Special will continue to run till 29.12.2024
5) 08007 Shalimar-Bhanjpur Special will continue to run till 28.12.2024
6) 08008 Bhanjpur-Shalimar Special will continue to run till 30.12.2024
7) 02839 Shalimar-Puri Special will continue to run till 29.12.2024
8) 02840 Puri-Shalimar Special will continue to run till 30.12.2024

RUNNING OF FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAIN

It has been decided to run Festival Special trains as per following schedule:
06065 Coimbatore-Barauni Festival Special will leave Coimbatore from 26.10.2024 to 16.11.2024 at 11:50 hrs and will reach Barauni at 14:30 hrs, the third day. In the return direction, 06056 Barauni-Coimbatore Festival Special will leave Barauni from 29.10.2024 to 19.11.2024 at 23:45 hrs and will reach Coimbatore 03:45 hrs, the fourth day.
The Special train will have stoppages at Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Nuagaon, Hatia, Ranchi, Muri and Bokaro Steel City in SER jurisdiction.
REGULATION OF TRAINS
DUE TO DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS IN ADRA DIVISION

In view of developmental works in Adra Division, the following trains will be regulated as under:
Cancellation of Trains:
- 08680/08679 Adra-Midnapore-Adra MEMU Special, journey commencing on 29.10.2024, 01.11.2024 & 03.11.2024 will remain cancelled.
Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:
- 03594/03593 Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU Special, journey commencing on 29.10.2024 and 03.11.2024 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.
- 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express, journey commencing on 29.10.2024 and 03.11.2024 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.
- 08174/08652 Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU Special, journey commencing on 28.10.2024 and 02.11.2024 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.
Diversion of Train:
- 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express, journey commencing from 28.10.2024, 30.10.2024 and 02.11.2024 will run on diverted route via Chandil-Gunda Bihar-Muri.

SER TO RUN MORE THAN 30 SPECIAL TRAINS
DURING FESTIVAL SEASON

For convenience of the passengers during this festive season, South Eastern Railway is running more than 30 Special trains toward different directions.
These special trains are running to facilitate smooth travel for passengers during festival season. It is noteworthy that during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath festivals, millions of passengers travel across the country. These special trains will ensure that passengers reach their destinations seamlessly.
Every year, a large number of people from all over the country travel to West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja. These festivals are not only of religious significance for the people of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar but also provide an important opportunity to reunite with their families. Due to the heavy rush of passengers during the festive season, most trains see their tickets go on the waiting list two to three months in advance. To address this, SER is once again operating special trains during the festival season this year.
