SER CELEBRATES “HAR GHAR TIRANGA” FROM 13th TO 15th AUGUST
AS A PART OF INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
SER OBSERVES “PARTITION HORRORS REMEMBRANCE DAY” on 14th AUGUST

SER is organising the event, “Har Ghar Tiranga” as a part of Independence Day Celebrations to encourage the citizens to hoist the National Flag at their residential premises from 13th to 15thAugust, 2024. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to celebrate India’s Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm.
On the eve of Independence, the Station Buildings, Offices, Locomotives, etc. have been illuminated in Tri-coloured lights over the South Eastern Railway jurisdiction. The special lighting arrangement is organised to celebrate the patriotic fervour of the Nation.
SER has also observed “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” on 14th August, 2024 to highlight the tragedy of the partition and the agony of the people who suffered during the partition. In this connection, Photo Exhibitions have been organised at SER Headquarters and at different stations of South Eastern Railway. The Photo Exhibitions were organised at Adra, Bokaro Steel City, Bankura and Purulia stations of Adra Division; Chakradharpur, Jharsuguda, Tatanagar and Rourkela stations of Chakradharpur Division; Ranchi, Hatia, Bano, Pokla, Govindpur Road, Muri, Ramgarh Cant. and Lohardaga stations of Ranchi Division; Kharagpur, Shalimar, Santragachi, Mecheda, Midnapur, Jaleswar, Baleshwar, Jhargram and Ghatsila stations of Kharagpur Division.

Different programmes have also been organised at the stations on this day. Patriotic songs were played during the exhibitions and Selfie Points have been put up at different stations for public and passengers to celebrate the events.

RUNNING OF INDEPENDENCE DAY SPECIAL TRAINS

It has been decided to run one trip of Independence Day Special as per following schedule:
02817/02818 Shalimar-Puri-Shalimar Special:
02817 Shalimar-Puri Special will leave Shalimar on 14.08.2024 at 21.05 hrs and will reach Puri at 06.15 hrs, the next day. In the return direction 02818 Puri-Shalimar Special will leave Puri on 15.08.2024 at 23.20 hrs and will arrive Shalimar at 08.50 hrs, the next day.
The Special train will have stoppages at Santragachi, Kharagpur and Baleshwar in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.
02867/02868 Shalimar-Digha-Shalimar Special:
02867 Shalimar-Digha Special will leave Shalimar on 15.08.2024 at 08.00 hrs and will reach Digha at 11.55 hrs, the same day. In the return direction 02868 Digha -Shalimar Special will leave Digha on 15.08.2024 at 12.45 hrs and will arrive Shalimar at 16.05 hrs, the same day.
The Special train will have stoppages at Santragachi, Uluberia, Bagnan, Mecheda,Tamluk and Kanthi in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.
STOPPAGE OF TRAINS AT MAHADEVSAL FOR SHRAVANI MELA

South Eastern Railway has decided to provide two minutes temporary stoppage at Mahadevsal Station of the following trains on 18.08.2024 and 19.08.2024 in view of Shravani Mela:
- 12834/12833 Howrah-Ahmedabad-Howrah Express
- 18189/18190 Tatanagar-Ernakulam-Tatanagar Express
- 18477/18478 Puri-Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Puri Express
- 18030/18029 Shalimar-LTT Mumbai-Shalimar Express
REGULATION OF TRAINS DUE TO DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS

In view of developmental works in West Central Railway, the following trains will be regulated as under:
Cancellation of Trains:
- 22169 Rani Kamlapati-Santragachi Express will remain cancelled on 28.08.2024, 04.09.2024 and 11.09.2024
- 22170 Santragachi-Rani Kamlapati Express will remain cancelled on 29.08.2024, 05.09.2024 and 12.09.2024
- 18009 Santragachi-Ajmer Express will remain cancelled on 30.08.2024 and 06.09.2024
- 18010 Ajmer – Santragachi Express will remain cancelled on 01.09.2024 and 08.09.2024
- 22830 Shalimar-Bhuj Express will remain cancelled on 31.08.2024 and 07.09.2024
- 22829 Bhuj-Shalimar Express will remain cancelled on 03.09.2024 and 10.09.2024
- 20971 Udaipur City-Shalimar Express will remain cancelled on 24.08.2024 and 31.08.2024
- 20972 Shalimar-Udaipur City Express will remain cancelled on 25.08.2024 and 01.09.2024
Diversion of Train
- 22829 Bhuj-Shalimar Express journey commencing on 27.08.2024 will will run on diverted route via Sant Hirdaram Nagar-Bhopal-Itarsi-Jabalpur-Katni South-New Katni

03101/03102 Sealdah-Malatipatpur-Sealdah Special:
03101 Sealdah-Malatipatpur Special will leave Sealdah on 14.08.2024 at 23.50 hrs and will reach Malatipatpur at 09.35 hrs, the next day. In the return direction 03102 Malatipatpur-Sealdah Special will leave Malatipatpur on 15.08.2024 at 15.15 hrs and will arrive Sealdah at 02.00 hrs, the next day.
The Special train will have stoppages at Andul, Kharagpur and Baleshwar in South Eastern Railway jurisdictio
CONTINUATION OF SPECIAL TRAINS

With a view to clear the extra rush of passengers, it has been decided to continue the running of Special Trains as per the given schedule:-
- 03465 MaldaTown-Digha Special will continue to run till 30.11.2024
- 03466 Digha-Malda Town Special will continue to run till 01.12.2024

TATANAGAR-JAYNAGAR-TATANAGAR WEEKLY EXPRESS

It has been decided that 18119/18120 Tatanagar-Jaynagar-Tatanagar Weekely Express will be introduced w.e.f. 16.08.2024 from Tatanagar as 18119 Tatanagar-Jaynagar Express and w.e.f. 17.08.2024 from Jaynagar as 18120 Jaynagar-Tatanagar Express as per the following schedule:
18119 Tatanagar-Jaynagar Express will leave Tatanagar every Friday at 18.50 hrs w.e.f. 16.08.2024 and will reach Jaynagar at 11.30 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 18120 Jaynagar-Tatanagar Express will leave Jaynagar every Saturday at 19.30 hrs w.e.f. 17.08.2024 and will arrive Tatanagar at 11.30 hrs, the next day.
The Special train will have stoppages at Chandil, Muri, Kotshila, Rajabera, Dhanbad, Pradhankunta, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Barauni, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Sakri and Madhubani stations enroute.
