TO ENHANCE PUNCTUALITY IN TRAIN MOVEMENT

YARD REMODELLING WORK COMPLETED AT ANDUL OF KHARAGPUR DIVISION

The dedicated team of South Eastern Railway has completed the yard remodelling work at Andul and Sankrail of Kharagpur Division before the scheduled time. The Santragachi – Sankrail Link line will enhance mobility and improve punctuality in train movement.

Since Andul & Sankrail yard modification works have been completed, after the upcoming commissioning of the Andul-Sankrail part of the Santragachi – Sankrail link line project, the goods traffic over this section will directly move between Andul and Sankrail Goods Terminal Yard through the flyover without touching the main line stations. This will improve the mobility of both passenger and freight trains due to less congestion. The goods trains, parcel trains, Millennium parcel trains, VP etc. coming from Eastern Railway and Northeast Frontier Railway will directly reach Sankrail Goods Yard Terminal without affecting the main line movement.

Safety and convenience of passengers are always top priority for South Eastern Railway. This is the first major yard remodelling work on SER which has been meticulously commissioned without Non Interlocking work causing least repercussion on train movement.

REGULATION OF TRAINS

DUE TO DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS IN ADRA DIVISION

Kolkata, 6^th July, 2024

In view of developmental works in Adra Division, the following trains will be regulated as under:

Cancellation of Trains:

1. 08680/08679 Adra-Midnapore-Adra MEMU Special, journey commencing on 09.07.2024, 12.07.2024 and 14.07.2024 will remain cancelled.

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:

1. 08174/08652 Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU Special, journey commencing on 09.07.2024 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.
2. 03594/03593 Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU Special, journey commencing from 08.07.2024 to 14.07.2024 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.

Diversion of Trains:

1. 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express, journey commencing on 10.07.2024, 12.07.2024 and 14.07.2024 will run on diverted route Chandil-Gunda Bihar-Muri.

RUNNING OF SPECIAL TRAINS

 

BETWEEN DIGHA AND KOLKATA

 

Kolkata, 6th July, 2024

 

 

 

Keeping in view the extra rush of the passengers, it has been decided to run Special Trains as per the following schedule:

 

 

 

03162/03161 Digha-Kolkata-Digha Special

 

 

 

03162 Digha-Kolkata Special will leave Digha every Sunday and Saturday from 07.07.2024 to 28.07.2024 at 19.10 hrs and will reach Kolkata at 23.55 hrs, the same day. In the return direction, 03161 Kolkata-Digha Special will leave Kolkata every Sunday and Saturday from 07.07.2024 to 28.07.2024 at 14.00 hrs and will arrive Digha at 18.50 hrs, the same day.

 

 

 

The Special train will have stoppages at Kanthi, Tamluk, Mecheda, Bagnan, Uluberia and Andul stations enroute.
