Kharagpur Division has completed and dedicated a new 6 Mtr wide Foot Over Bridge for the rail users and passengers at Panskura station. This will ensure the smooth flow of traffic at this very busy station of the sub urban section.
On Thursday evening, the new 6 Mtr wide FOB connecting the north side circulating area to Platform no. 5&6 was opened for the public use by the railways. This will facilitate the railway users to safely and comfortably reached the platforms to catch their train and after completing their journey they can easily move out of the station towards the market through the circulating area.
The daily average footfall of passengers at the busy Panskura station is about 30,000. Students, traders, employees and passengers from various segment of the society travel daily from this important station of the suburban section. The existing Foot over Bridge was a bit narrow and often get congested during the peak office hours. This new 6 Mtr wide FOB will ease of the traffic flow even during the peak hour.
Panskura station is also being develop as an Amrit Station. It will boost of new modern and advanced facilities and amenities once the work is completed. Railways is continuously adding more facilities to provide the passengers a safe and comforting experience during their journey.
