REGULATION OF TRAINS DUE TO DEVELOPMENTAL

WORKS IN SECUNDERABAD DIVISION OF SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY

 

Kolkata, 18th April, 2024.

         In view of developmental works in Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway, the following trains will be regulated as follows:

Cancellation of Trains:

  • 07225 Secunderabad-Shalimar Special will remain cancelled on 29.04.2024, 06.05.2024 & 20.05.2024
  • 07226 Shalimar-Secunderabad Special will remain cancelled on 30.04.2024, 07.05.2024 & 21.05.2024

Diversion of Trains:

  • 18045 Shalimar-Hyderabad East Coast Express, journey commencing on 02.05.2024, 03.05.2024, 08.05.2024, 09.05.2024, 20.05.2024 & 21.05.2024 will run on diverted route via Vijayawada-Guntur-Pagidipalli-Secunderabad.
  •  18046 Hyderabad-Shalimar East Coast Express, journey commencing on 03.05.2024, 04.05.2024, 09.05.2024, 10.05.2024, 21.05.2024 & 22.05.2024 will run on diverted route via Secunderabad-Pagidipalli-Guntur-Vijayawada
  • 12774 Secunderabad-Shalimar Express, journey commencing on 21.05.2024 will run on diverted route via Vijayawada-Guntur-Pagidipalli-Secunderabad.
  • 18112 Yesvantpur-Tatanagar Express, journey commencing on 05.05.2024 & 19.05.2024 will run on diverted route via Vijayawada-Guntur-Nandyal-Guntakal-Ballari.

SER CELEBRATES WORLD HERITAGE DAY

Kolkata, 18thApril, 2024:

South Eastern Railway celebrated World Heritage Day at its Headquarters, Garden Reach today (18-04-2024). Every year 18th April is observed as World Heritage Day to spread awareness about our rich cultural diversity and importance of preserving ancient heritage. The theme for World Heritage Day 2024 is “Disasters & Conflicts – Through the Lens of the Venice Charter”. Shri Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager, South Eastern Railway was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Sri Mishra explained the importance of preserving Railway Heritage and laid emphasis o­n creating awareness to maintain the legacy for the generations to come. He mentioned about the sustainable efforts adopted by SER to preserve its glorious past.

The Guest Speaker on the occasion was Shri Anjan Mitra, an eminent Architect and Heritage enthusiast.  His topic of discussion was, Indian Railways: Heritage Assets, Concerns, Opportunities. He said that Indian Railways is the largest heritage owner and discussed about the tangible and intangible Heritage of Railways. Shri Mitra also highlighted the significance of the theme “Discover and Experience Diversity”. During the programme, presentations prepared by Headquarters, all four divisions (Adra, Chakradharpur, Ranchi and Kharagpur) and Kharagpur Workshop o­n the theme of “Disasters & Conflicts – Through the Lens of the Venice Charter” were shown to the audience.

Shri A. K. Dubey, Additional General Manager & Chairman, Zonal Heritage Committee, South Eastern Railway welcomed the guests and discussed about the immense value of Heritage and the measures to protect it. Shri Pankaj Kumar Gupta, DGM (G) & Secretary Heritage committee conveyed the Vote of thanks. Principal Head of the Departments, Senior officers and staff were also present during the programme.
