खड़गपुर,  अमृत भारत योजना के तहत रविवार को घाटशिला, जालेश्वर व बारिपदा स्टेशन के आधुनिकीकरण  का शिलान्यास प्रधानमंत्री मोदी वर्चुअल शिलान्यास करेंगे। इस अवसर पर उक्त स्टेशनों में कार्यक्रम का भी आय़ोजन किया गया है खड़गपुर के डीआरएम के. आर चौधरी ने आज अपने सभाकक्ष में पत्रकारों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि खड़गपुर में नया फुट ओवरब्रिज व सबवे बनेगा।

उन्होने आशा जताया कि मानसून के अंत तक टाउन थाना ब्रिज का उद्घाटन होगा हांलाकि सीनियर डीईएऩ को-आर्डिनेशन ने उक्त ब्रिज के कार्य इस माह के अंत तक पूरा होने की बात कही।

डीआरएम चौधरी ने बालिचक ओवरब्रिज राज्य सरकार द्वारा ही पूरा करने की बात कही उन्होंने कहा कि वहां कुछ तकनीकी दिक्कत है जिसे दूर कर लिया जाएगा। गोलबाजार मार्केट में बिजली देने के संबंध में कहा कि चरणबद्ध तरीके से काम शुरु किया जा चुका है लगभग 131 दुकानदारों को बिजली देने का काम हुआ है लगभग 500 दुकानदारों को बिजली की सुविधा मुहैया कराई जाएगी।

बस स्टैंड से गोलबाजार तक के जर्जर रोड को पत्रकारों द्वारा संज्ञान में लाने पर मरम्मत का आश्वासन दिया। इस अवसर पर मंडल के अन्य वरीय अधिकारीगण भी उपस्थित थे।

Indian Railways is moving ahead at a rapid pace in the direction of modernization and in realising the Government of India’s vision of a New India. The work of redeveloping Railway Stations into world-class establishments is being done at a fast pace across the country. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme started by the

 

Government of India, total 1309 railway stations across the country are being redeveloped with state-of-the-art facilities. Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for redevelopment of 508 stations from different railway zones on 6th August through video conferencing.

Out of these 508 stations, the following 10 stations of South Eastern Railway will be redeveloped under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme:

 

  • Hatia of Ranchi Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.355 crore
  • Piska of Ranchi Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.27 crore
  • Rajgangpur of Chakradharpur Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.30 crore
  • Rajkharswan of Chakradharpur Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.30 crore
  • Manoharpur of Chakradharpur Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.27 crore
  • Barbil of Chakradharpur Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.16 crore
  • Ghatsila of Kharagpur Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.31 crore
  • Jaleswar of Kharagpur Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.23 crore
  • Baripada of Kharagpur Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.17 crore
  • Bokaro Steel City of Adra Division will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs.33.5 crore

Showcasing the grandeur of Indian Diversity, these redeveloped stations will be equipped with new state-of-the-art passenger amenities as well as up-gradation & replacement of the existing facilities. Facilities planned under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme include smooth access to Railway stations by removal of unwanted structures, improved lighting, better circulating area, upgraded parking space, Divyangjan friendly infrastructure, environment friendly building by use of Green energy, etc.

The standard elements of station design will have:

A brief of AMRIT BHARAT STATION SCHEME

Indian Railways is moving ahead at a rapid pace in the direction of modernization and in realising the Government of India’s vision of a New India. The work of redeveloping Railway Stations into world-class establishments is being done at a fast pace across the country. 

Amidst this operation, work on three stations is complete. These include Rani Kamalapati station in Madhya Pradesh, Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal station in Bengaluru, Karnataka and Gandhinagar Capital station in Gujarat. These stations present a grand picture of modern India. State-of-the-art facilities have been developed for passengers at these stations. Apart from lifts and escalators, concourses, waiting rooms, and retail areas with modern facilities have been developed for the smooth movement of passengers. Additionally, proper arrangements have been made for the arrival and departure of passengers and vehicle parking.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme started by the Government of India, 1309 railway stations across the country are being redeveloped with state-of-the-art facilities. In Kharagpur division of SER, the foundation stone for the redevelopment works under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme will be laid for 03 stations namely–Ghatsila, Jaleswar and Baripada by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 06th Aug, 2023 at 11 AM through virtual medium. A total of 17 stations of kharagpur division belonging to state of Jharkhand, West Bengal & Odisha have been nominated for redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

 In West Bengal, 13 stations of Kharagpur Division are nominated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, namely Andul, Belda, Digha, Haldia, Hijli, Jhargram, Kharagpur, Mecheda, Midnapur, Panskura, Tamluk, Bagnan & Uluberia. 

In Odisha, 3 stations of Kharagpur Division are nominated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme namely Baripada, Betnoti & Jaleswar. 

Ghatsila station of Kharagpur Division in Jharkhand state is nominated for the redevelopment works under ABSS. 

To grace the occasion, Hon’ble Union and state ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, freedom fighters, Padma Awardees, eminent personalities, students and general public have been invited to attend the foundation stone laying program at their respective stations. Various competitions have been held at different schools and colleges. The winners of these shall be awarded on 6th August, 2023.

KHARAGPUR DIVISION – South Eastern Railway

A brief of AMRIT BHARAT STATION – GHATSILA

 

Ghatsila railway station is a very important station in Kharagpur – Tata section considering its tourism attraction. To cater to the increasing demands, the infrastructure needs to be upgraded. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a total of 57 stations in Jharkhand state and 17 stations of Kharagpur division are being nominated for redevelopment. Ghatsila station is also nominated for redevelopment works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

In phase – I redevelopment works of Ghatsila stationunder Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, with a cost of around Rs. 30.58 Crores, the Soft upgradation, &Divyangjan facility works that will be undertaken includes :

  • Improvement to Traffic circulation area & beautification of circulating area, 
  • Entrance porches, 
  • Improvement to facade & elevation, 
  • Improvement to interior and waiting hall etc., 
  • Improvement to toilets, 
  • Improvement of Platform surface and Platform shed, 
  • Good quality durable Furniture. 

 

Apart from all these, provision of 12 mtr wide foot over bridge for smooth passenger movements, improved signage and electrical works and telecom services will also be provided at the redeveloped Ghatsila station.

Out of Rs. 30.58 crores, Rs. 10.77 crores are being allotted for the various soft upgradation of the works related to passenger amenities, and an amount of Rs. 17.81 Crore for the construction of 12 metre wide foot over bridge. An amount of Rs. 1.19 crore is being allotted for Electrical and Signage works and Rs. 81 lakhs sanctioned for telecom and signal works.

 

KHARAGPUR DIVISION – South Eastern Railway

A brief ofAMRIT BHARAT STATION – JALESWAR

 

Jaleswar railway station is animportant station in Kharagpur-Balasore Section of Kharagpur Division. To cater to the increasing demands, the infrastructure needs to be upgraded. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a total of 57 stations in odisha state and 17 stations of Kharagpur division are being nominated for redevelopment. Jaleswar station is also nominated for redevelopment works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

In phase – I redevelopment works of Jaleswar station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, with a cost of around Rs. 22.98 Crores, the Soft upgradation, &Divyangjan facility works that will be undertaken includes :

  • Improvement to Traffic circulation area & beautification of circulating area,

  • Improvement to facade & elevation, 
  • Improvement to interior and waiting hall etc., 
  • Improvement to toilets,

Baripada railway station is an important station in Rupsa-Bangriposi Section of Kharagpur Division. To cater to the increasing demands, the infrastructure needs to be upgraded. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a total of 57 stations in odisha state and 17 stations of Kharagpur division are being nominated for redevelopment. Baripada station is also nominated for redevelopment works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

In phase – I redevelopment works of Baripada station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, with a cost of around Rs. 17.33Crores, the Soft upgradation, &Divyangjan facility works that will be undertaken includes :

  • Improvement to Traffic circulation area & beautification of circulating area, 
  • Entrance porches, 
  • Improvement to facade & elevation, 
  • Improvement to interior and waiting hall etc., 
  • Improvement to toilets, 
  • Improvement of Platform surface and Platform shed, 
  • Good quality durable Furniture.

These 508 stations are spread across 27 states and union territories, including 55 each in Uttar
Pradesh and Rajasthan, 49 in Bihar, 44 in Maharashtra, 37 in West Bengal, 34 in Madhya Pradesh,
32 in Assam, 25 in Odisha, 22 in Punjab, 21 each in Gujarat and Telangana, 20 in Jharkhand, 18
each in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, 15 in Haryana, 13 in Karnataka among others.
The redevelopment will provide modern passenger amenities along with ensuring well designed
traffic circulation, inter-modal integration and well designed signage for guidance of passengers.
The design of the station buildings will be inspired by local culture, heritage and architecture.
