Kharagpur, “International Adibasi Day” was organized by Paschim Medinipur District Police in association with kharagpur town ps in Prembazar, Hijli Co-operative Society “Moitryee Bhaban”. Hundreds of adibasi people took participated in the prog including. 350 adibasi women were provided their traditional saree, 50 men got dhuti, 50 school bags to adibashi students also provided. Adibashi cultural function were also arranged. Smt Bijoli Murmu, an international figure displayed Santhali dance with pitchers on her head.
Pradip Sarkar, MLA Kgp highlighted on govt policies regarding tribal development , Vaibhav Chaudhary, SDO Kgp, Kaji shamsuddin ahmed Addl.S.P, kgp, Raja mukherjee Ic, kgp t, rabi shankar pandey, adibasi journalist satadal Mandi, ex- councilor Chandan Singh & some other dignitaries attended the prog.
