NEW STOPPAGE OF TRAINS AT AKALTARA AND ANUPPUR
Kolkata, 6th March, 2023:
It has been decided to provide new stoppage of the following trains for convenience of the passengers.
- 18109/18110 Tatanagar-Itwari-Tatanagar Express, journey commencing w.e.f 06.03.2023 has been provided stoppage at Akaltara.
18109 Tatanagar-Itwari Express will arrive Akaltara at 18:09 hrs and will depart at 18:11 hrs. In the opposite direction, 18110 Itwari-Tatanagar Express will arrive Akaltara at 08:59 hrs and will depart at 09:01 hrs.
- 20828 Santragachi-Jabalpur Humsafar Express leaving Santragachi w.e.f 08.03.23 will stop at Anuppur. In the opposite direction, 20827 Jabalpur-Santragachi Humsafar Express leaving Jabalpur w.e.f 09.03.23 will stop at Anuppur.
20828 Santragachi-Jabalpur Humsafar Express will arrive Anuppur at 09:51 hrs and will depart at 09:53 hrs. In the opposite direction, 20827 Jabalpur-Santragachi Humsafar Express will arrive Anuppur at 00:44 hrs and will depart at 00:46 hrs.
The stoppages have been provided on an experimental basis for a period of six months.
CONSISTENT GROWTH IN SER’s
FREIGHT LOADING AND EARNINGS PERFORMANCE
South Eastern Railway has loaded total 183.56 Million Tonnes of originating freight in the first eleven months (April-February) of the current financial year (2022-23) registering a growth of 4.02% in comparison to the corresponding period of previous financial year. During this period, the revenue generation from originating freight loading has also increased to Rs 16,474.26 crore as against Rs. 14,747.35 crore in same period of the previous year. Therefore, the earnings from freight loading has enhanced by 11.71% for SER.
SER has also registered a remarkable growth in earnings from loading of Coal, Cement and Fertilizer in the first eleven months i.e. April to February of the current financial year (2022-23). During this period, SER has earned Rs 4,914.71 crores from Coal loading, which is 48.66% more than the corresponding period of previous fiscal. Earnings from loading of Cement and Fertilizer have also registered a growth of 33.59% and 18.53% respectively during this period.
The main commodities of Freight loading during this period were Iron Ore, Coal, Pig Iron & Finished Steel, Cement, Fertilizers, Petroleum Products etc.
