Kharagpur Division of S. E. Railway launches “One Station One Product” at Jaleswar station as Pilot Project with effect from 25.03.2022.

On the basis of Union Budget Announcement-2022-23, regarding “one station one product” scheme, a
workshop was held on 12.3.2022 at Railway Board, New Delhi and as per record notes of discussions held on
12.03.2022 with Zonal railways, Balasore and Jaleswar stations have been identified for installation of Stall to sell
Coconut Mat products at Balasore and Silver & Stone Jewellary products at Jaleswar Railway station for a period of
15 days w.e.f25.03.2022 with the token fee otRs.500erc stall for 15 days.  modalities of the scheme is being uploaded
in the website www.ser.indianrailways.gov.in

Aiming to make the railway station a promotional hub and giving boost to local industry, Balasore Station has been chosen for showcasing Coconut Mat Products while Jaleswar Station has been selected as a developmental hub for Silver and Stone Jewellery Products.

The concept of “One Station One Product” was announced in the Union Budget 2022-23. The main objective of this concept is to make railway stations a promotional and sales hub for local products. This new initiative will act as a marketing hub for the sales, promotion and upliftment of the local products thereby contributing to the growth of industries of the area. The local artisans viz. potters, weavers, handloom weavers etc. are expected to be greatly benefitted.

SER Authority is providing infrastructural facilities and all sorts of assistance to the stall owners for successful implementation of the concept of “One Station One Product”. Passengers have easy access to the stalls to buy the products. Other necessary assistance are also provided to sell the products at Station Premises as well as in trains till the next stopping station. The initiative will provide a major boost to the local artisans to display their products to the large number of passengers coming from different parts of the country.
