PM to flag off three Vande Bharat trains on 31st August
These trains will boost connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka
New Vande Bharat trains to provide world class experience to passengers, reduce journey time and provide boost to tourism
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will flag off three Vande Bharat trains on 31st August, 2024 at 12:30 PM via video conferencing. Realising Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Make in India’ and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express will improve the connectivity on three routes: Meerut – Lucknow ; Madurai – Bengaluru and Chennai – Nagercoil.
The Meerut City – Lucknow Vande Bharat will help passengers save around 1 hour in comparison to the current fastest train between the two cities. Likewise, the Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil Vande Bharat and Madurai – Bengaluru Vande Bharat trains will cover the journey saving more than 2 hours and around 1 hour 30 mins respectively.
These new Vande Bharat trains shall provide the people of the region the world class means to travel with speed and comfort and will cater to three states – Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The introduction of these Vande Bharat Express trains will herald a new standard of rail service to meet the needs of regular travellers, professionals, business and student community in immense measure.

REGULATION OF TRAINS
DUE TO DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS IN SOUTH EAST CENTRAL RAILWAY

In view of developmental works in South East Central Railway, the following trains will be regulated as under:
Cancellation of Trains:

- 18114 Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express will remain cancelled from 11.09.2024 to 28.09.2024
- 18109 Tatanagar-NSCB Itwari Express will remain cancelled from 11.09.2024 to 28.09.2024
- 18110 NSCB Itwari-Tatanagar Express will remain cancelled from 11.09.2024 to 28.09.2024
- 17008 Darbhanga-Secunderabad Express will remain cancelled on 10.09.2024, 13.09.2024, 17.09.2024 & 20.09.2024
- 17007 Secunderabad-Darbhanga Express will remain cancelled on 10.09.2024, 14.09.2024, 17.09.2024 & 21.09.2024
- 20828 Santragachi-Jabalpur Express will remain cancelled on 11.09.2024
- 20827Jabalpur-Santragachi Express will remain cancelled on 12.09.2024
- 20822 Santragachi-Pune Express will remain cancelled on 14.09.2024 & 21.09.2024
- 20821 Pune-Santragachi Express will remain cancelled on 16.09.2024 & 23.09.2024
- 22843 Bilaspur-Patna Express will remain cancelled on 13.09.2024 & 20.09.2024
- 22844 Patna-Bilaspur Express will remain cancelled on 15.09.2024 & 22.09.2024
- 12870 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Express will remain cancelled on 13.09.2024 & 20.09.2024
- 12869 CSMT Mumbai-Howrah Express will remain cancelled on 15.09.2024 & 22.09.2024
Diversion of Trains:
- 12810 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Mail, journey commencing from 10.09.2024 to 22.09.2024 will run on diverted route via Jharsuguda-Titlagarh-Raipur
- 12809 CSMT Mumbai – Howrah Mail, journey commencing from 10.09.2024 to 22.09.2024 will run on diverted route via Raipur – Titlagarh -Jharsuguda
- 12130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express, journey commencing from 10.09.2024 to 22.09.2024 will run on diverted route via Jharsuguda-Titlagarh-Raipur
- 12129 Pune – Howrah Azad Hind Express, journey commencing from 10.09.2024 to 22.09.2024 will run on diverted route via Raipur – Titlagarh -Jharsuguda
Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:
- 08861/08862 Gondia-Jharsuguda-Gondia MEMU Special, journey commencing from 11.09.2024 to 28.09.2024 will be short terminated at/ short originated from Bilaspur.
CANCELLATION OF TRAINS
Kolkata, 30th August, 2024
Due to developmental work in West Central Railway, the following trains will remain cancelled:
1) 20828 Santragachi-Jabalpur Express will remain cancelled on 18.09.2024 & 25.09.2024
2) 20827 Jabalpur-Santragachi Express will remain cancelled on 19.09.2024 & 26.09.2024

RUNNING OF FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAINS
Kolkata, 30th August, 2024
It has been decided to run Festival Special trains as per following schedule:
06089/06090 MGR Chennai Central-Santragachi-MGR Chennai Central Special:
06089 MGR Chennai Central-Santragachi Special will leave MGR Chennai Central every Wednesday from 04.09.2024 to 27.11.2024 at 13.30 hrs and will reach Santragachi at 20.50 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 06090 Santragachi-MGR Chennai Central Special will leave Santragachi every Thursday from 05.09.2024 to 28.11.2024 at 23.40 hrs and will reach MGR Chennai Central at 09.00 hrs, the third day.
The Special train will have stoppages at Baleshwar and Kharagpur in SER jurisdiction.
01107/01108 LTT Mumbai-Santragachi-LTT Mumbai Special:
01107 LTT Mumbai-Santragachi Special will leave LTT Mumbai on 29.10.2024 and 05.11.2024 at 20.15 hrs and will reach Santragachi at 05.00 hrs, the third day. In the return direction 01108 Santragachi-LTT Mumbai Special will leave Santragachi on 31.10.2024 and 07.11.2024 at 15.50 hrs and will reach LTT Mumbai at 23.45 hrs, the next day.
The Special trains will have stoppages at Jharsuguda,Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar and Kharagpur in SER jurisdiction.
