सांसद दिलीप घोष खड़गपुर शहर थाना ओवरब्रिज के उद्घाटन समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि मोदी सरकार के समय रेल विभाग ने काफी प्रगति की है। वंदे भारत जैसे ट्रेनें लोगों को मिली लोगों को अयोध्या में राम मंदिर का ना सिर्फ उपहार दिया बल्कि लोगों को भ्रमण का भी बीड़ा उठाया। उन्होंने कहा कि रेल विभाग कई बड़े काम किए हैं उन्हें उम्मीद है कि गोलबाजार में बिजली, पानी, सड़क जैसे मूलभूत समस्याओं का भी समाधान करने में सक्षम होगी।
खड़गपुर के विधायक हिरणमय चट्टोपाध्याय ने आज खड़गपुर स्टेशन में पत्रकारों के सवालों का जवाब देते हुए कहा कि पार्षद के अलावा विधायक होने के नाते वह विकास कार्य़ कर पा रहे हैं पर नगरपालिका दीवालियो हो गई है यहां के पैसे चोरी हो कोलकाता चला गया तो कैसे विकास काम होगा। हिरण आज प्रधानमंत्री के वर्चुअल उद्घाटन समारोह में भाग लेने आए थे। उन्होने संदेशखाली मुद्दे पर राज्य सरकार को आड़े हाथों लेते हुए कहा कि पत्रकार शिबू हाजरा का साक्षात्कार ले पा रहे हैं शेख शाहजहां के वकील उसका साइन लेकर काम कर पा रहे हैं पर राज्य सरकार की पुलिस शाहजहां को खोज नहीं पा रही है। उन्होने शेख शाहजहां को संरक्षण के लिए सीएम ममता को आड़े हाथों लिया। उन्होने कहा कि विधानसभा में रेशमी मेटालिक्स का मुद्दा उठाया पर संबंधित विभाग आज तक उत्तर नहीं दे पाए। हिरण ने कहा कि मैं खड़गपुर का निवासी व वोटर हूं व फिलहाल खड़गपुर के विकास के लिए ही सोच रहा हूं घाटाल से लोकसभा प्रत्याशी होने की बात से इंकार करते हुए हिरण ने कहा कि वह राज्य के अऩ्य कई इलाकों में जाते हैं पर सिर्फ चंद्रकोणा व घाटाल को लेकर बेवजह मुद्दा बनाया जा रहा है।इस अवसर पर खड़गपुर रेल मंडल के डीआरएम के आर चौधऱी व अन्य उपस्थित थे।
PRIME MINISTER LAID FOUNDATION STONE/ INAUGURATED 46 AMRIT STATIONS
AND 108 ROAD OVERBRIDGES/UNDERPASSES OF SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone and inaugurated and dedicated to the Nation around 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth more than Rs. 41,000 crores via video conferencing. During this function, Foundation Stone was also laid for 46 stations of South Eastern Railway to be redeveloped under Amrit Station Scheme. Aprat from this, inauguration /Foundation stone laid for 108 Road Overbridges and Underpasses in SER. In this connection, functions were organised at 141 locations over all the four divisions, i.e. Adra, Kharagpur, Chakradharpur and Ranchi of SER jurisdiction.
Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand attended the function at Tatanagar Railway station. Shri Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager/SER, Divisional Railway Manager/ Chakradharpur, Senior Railway Officers and other dignitaries were also present at the function.
Colourful functions were also organised at other locations over SER jurisdiction and was attended by Hon’ble Ministers, Hon’ble MPs, Hon’ble MLAs, other dignitaries and large number of enthusiastic local people.
In connection with the above programme, competitions were organised by all four Divisions of SER among the students of different schools on the topic “2047 ke Viksit Bharat ka Viksit Rail”. More than 1,000 winners were awarded by the dignitaries at different locations today (26.02.2024).
Foundation Stone was laid for 22 Amrit stations of West Bengal at a total estimated cost of Rs. 597.15 Crores. The 22 stations of West Bengal to be redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme are, Adra, Bankura, Bishnupur, Purulia, Joychandi Pahar, Burnpur, Kharagpur, Mecheda, Tamluk, Jhargram, Bagnan, Midnapore, Uluberia, Andul, Panskura, Hijli, Belda, Digha, Haldia, Suisa, Tulin and Jhalida. Moreover, the total estimated cost for 41 Road Overbridges/Underpasses in West Bengal is Rs. 492.05 Crores.
Foundation Stone was laid for 18 Amrit stations of Jharkhand at a total estimated cost of Rs. 578.95 Crores. The 18 stations of Jharkhand to be redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme are, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Gamharia, Sini, Chaibasa, Dangoaposi, Barajamda, Balsiring, Bano, Gangaghat, Ramgarh Cantt, Govindpur Road, Orga, Muri, Silli, Lohardaga, Tatisilwai and Namkom. Moreover, the total estimated cost for 44 Road Overbridges/Underpasses in Jharkhand is Rs.546.01 Crores.
Foundation Stone was laid for 6 Amrit stations of Odisha at a total estimated cost of Rs.240.82 Crores. The 6 stations of Odisha to be redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme are, Bimlagarh, J
aroli, Rairangpur, Panposh, Baleshwar and Betnoti. Moreover, the total estimated cost for 23 Road Overbridges/Underpasses in Odisha is Rs.192.41 Crores.
Indian Railways is committed to upgrade rail infrastructure all over the nation. In this year’s budget, West Bengal has got allocation of Rs. 13810 Cr, Odisha has got an allocation of Rs. 10,536 Cr & Jharkhand has got an allocation of Rs. 7234 Cr and many stations have been planned to be developed as world class railway stations.
Today Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Dedicated/and laid foundation stone of total 554 railway stations and 1500 Road over bridge and Road under bridges all across the nation. In Kharagpur Division, foundation stone of total 15 stations & 13 ROB/RUBs were laid and 02 ROB/RUBs were dedicated to the nation.
Functions were organised at all the locations of this division for this historic event, in which the Hon’ble PM connected with around 2200 locations through Video Conferencing and around 40 lakhs participated in the function virtually. Local programs were organised at all the venues of this division, cultural program followed by prize distribution to various winners of school competitions were a part of this. The local Hon’ble MP, MLA and other dignitaries attended the said event at their respective locations.
Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Shri Bishweswar Tudu attended the program from LHS 37 in ROP-BGY section, Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Hon’ble MP/Baleshwar attended at Baleshwar station, Shri Dilip Ghosh, Hon’ble MP/Medinipur graced the dedication event at ROB-135 (Town thaana bridge), Shri Sishir Adhikari, Hon’ble MP/Kanthi joined the event at Digha station and the program was graced by Shri Dibyendu Adhikari at Mecheda station. Shri Kunar Hembram, Hon’ble MP/Jhargram attended the event at Jhargram station.
Hon’ble MLA/Kharagpur sadar, Shri Hiranmoy Chhatopadhyay graced the virtual event at Kharagpur station, Smt Tapashi Mandal, Hon’ble MLA/Haldia & Shri Sanatan Bijuli, Hon’ble MLA/Badasahi attended the mega event at Haldia & Betnoti station respectively.
