REOPENING OF RABINDRA SADAN RESERVATION OFFICE
OF SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY AFTER MORNING FIRE INCIDENT
Kolkata, 9th August, 2023:
Sudden fire broke out at Rabindra Sadan Reservation Office, Kolkata at around 07:25 hrs. today (09.08.2023). Two of the on duty staff have detected smoke on the first floor cooling unit. No public was present there at that time as it was before the opening hours of the ticket counters. All staff are also safe. Fire Brigade was immediately called by the staff and information was given to the local police station. Senior railway officials rushed to the spot immediately after the incident. Meanwhile, fire extinguishers were also used by the on duty staff to control the fire. Three fire engines reached the booking office and the incident was totally under control around 08:25 hrs. However, Metro services were running normally and passenger services were not affected by any means.
The first shift of ticket booking had to be cancelled due to repairing work. Restoration work was done on war footing and the Reservation counters have become functional from 15:20 hrs.
In view of Yard Remodeling Work at Sakti Station in Bilaspur Division of South East Central Railway, the following trains will be regulated as under:
Cancellation of Trains:
- 18113 Tatanagar-Bilaspur Express will remain cancelled from 09.08.2023 to 21.08.2023
- 18114 Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express will remain cancelled from 10.08.2023 to 22.08.2023
- 18109 Tatanagar-Itwari Express will remain cancelled from 09.08.2023 to 21.08.2023
- 18110 Itwari-Tatanagar Express will remain cancelled from 09.08.2023 to 21.08.2023
- 20828 Santragachi-Jabalpur Humsafar Express will remain cancelled on 09.08.2023
- 20827 Jabalpur-Santragachi Humsafar Express will remain cancelled on 10.08.2023
- 17005 Hyderabad-Raxaul Express will remain cancelled on 10.08.2023
- 17006 Raxaul-Hyderabad Express will remain cancelled on 13.08.2023
- 20822 Santragachi-Pune Humsafar Express will remain cancelled on 12.08.2023
- 20821 Pune-Santragachi Humsafar Express will remain cancelled on 14.08.2023
- 22843 Bilaspur-Patna Express will remain cancelled on 11.08.2023
- 22844 Patna-Bilaspur Express will remain cancelled on 13.08.2023
Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:
- 08861 Gondia-Jharsuguda MEMU Special will be short terminated at Bilaspur from 10.08.2023 to 22.08.2023
- 08862 Jharsuguda-Gondia MEMU Special will be short originated from Bilaspur from 10.08.2023 to 22.08.2023
PERMANENT AUGMENTATION OF SER TRAINS

For convenience of the travelling passengers, the following trains will be augmented as per the given schedule:
- 12222 Howrah-Pune Duronto Express will be augmented by attaching one AC 2 Tier Coach w.e.f. 12.08.2023.
- 12221 Pune-Howrah Duronto Express will be augmented by attaching one AC 2 Tier Coach w.e.f. 14.08.2023.
- 12262 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Duronto Express will be augmented by attaching one AC 2Tier Coach w.e.f. 11.08.2023.
- 12261 CSMT Mumbai-Howrah Duronto Express will be augmented by attaching one AC 2Tier Coach w.e.f. 13.08.2023.
- 20822 Santragachi-Pune Humsafar Express will be augmented by attaching one AC 3 Tier Coach w.e.f. 12.08.2023.
- 20821 Pune-Santragachi Humsafar Express will be augmented by attaching one AC 3 Tier Coach w.e.f. 14.08.2023.
STOPPAGE OF TRAINS AT THERUBALI STATION OF EAST COAST RAILWAY
For convenience of passengers, stoppage of the following trains has been provided at Therubali station of East Coast Railway till further advice:
- 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Express.
- 18006 Jagdalpur-Howrah Express.
