मालगाड़ी को द बर्निंग ट्रेन होने से बचाने वाले रेलकर्मी पुरस्कृत

 

खड़गपुर आईआईटी के निकट की हिजली स्टेशन के पोस्ट मास्टर उत्तम महाराणा , एक बडी़ दुर्घटना अपनी सूझबूझ से टाल दिए . हुआ यूं कि रेलकर्मी  ने 13 फरवरी की सुबह साढे तीन बजे ऑल राईट सिगनल देते समय मालगाडी के पहिए से आग की चिंगारी व धुआं निकलता हुआ देखे . आग पर नजर पडते ही वह आनन – फानन लाल सिगनल दिखा कर , गार्ड को रुकने का संकेत दिया . जिससे गाड़ी हिजली प्लेटफॉर्म पर रुक गई लेकिन तब तक आग भडक चुकी थी .यह आग इंजिन से 45वें एवं पीछे से 13वें वैगन के तले में लगी थी . जिसे ड्यूटी पर तैनात कर्मियों ने अग्नि शमन यंत्र की सहायता से बुझाकर रेल विभाग को एक बडे़ अग्निकांड से बचाव की . इस प्रकार रेल विभाग को एक बडे़ दुर्घटना से बचाने के कारण खड़गपुर संभाग के डीआरएम एम एस हाशमी पोस्ट मास्टर उत्तम महाराणा को सम्मानित व पुरस्कृत किए .

Sr.DCM Kharagpur flagged off the inaugural run of the SGTY-Guwahati JPP parcel train from SGTY on 21.02.2023.

A customer meet was held by Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, KHARAGPUR, Shri Rajesh Kumar at Sankrail Goods Terminal Yard, regarding Joint Parcel Product (JPP) of India Post & Indian Railways on 21.02.2023.

Consequent on the Budget announcement of FY 2022-23, In tune with the Gati Shakti Master Plan, 16 Originating Destination Pair Trains were started from 16.02.2023 over Indian Railway. This is a joint service by the Department of Post & Indian Railways to facilitate door to door delivery of products. 

In the customer meet, the various customer and their representatives were briefed about the JPP Scheme, its policy, benefits and plans for implementation. Sri Rajesh Kumar interacted with the customers & merchants present at the meet and discuss various points with them. Sr. DCM explained the benefits the customers will be getting from this service and he also explains the growing importance of SGTY as a major parcel hub in eastern region in coming days. For Guwahati bound trains, Agthori station is selected as the destination point for handling the JPP traffic. All the facilities including labour handling amenities, full parcel rake capacity for loading/unloading, connectivity to NH, PMS, Conveyor belts, sheds and lot more facilities are already provided at the station. 

The JPP trains will be having stoppages at intermediate stations, i.e MECHEDA, PANSKURA, KHARAGPUR, BALASORE for loading and unloading. This will also benefit many local merchants, farmers and manufactures. During the meet, the customers expressed their interest for the scheme and they also shared some valuable suggestions with the railways for better loading facilities. They also shared their views about diverting the road traffic for north east regions to railways.

Out of the 16 Originating Destination pair of trains to be started, 07 pairs of trains will be dealt at SGTY. 04 pairs of trains will originate from SGTY for Ernakulam, Bhiwandi Road, Guwahati & Madurai. The trains will also connect SGTY to Bangalore, Kacheguda, Vizaywada, Secunderabad & Chennai. These trains will run as per time tabled schedule. Except SGTY-Guwahati, all the trains will be weekly operated, SGTY-Guwahati train will be operated Thrice a week. The first train of this JPP Service originated from SGTY on 21.02.2023 for Guwahati, another JPP train for Ernakulam will depart SGTY at around 11.30 pm on 21.02.2023.
