Kharagpur, Inda became a battlefield on Sunday morning after clash between the hawkers and the landlords after which OT rd was blocked, police disperse protestors with mild lathi charge and 8 arrested people sent to jail custody. It is to be known that the area from Inda to Chowringhee this morning got shaken due to clash between landowners and hawkers. Suddenly some hawkers reached the Kamalakabin area of Inda with bamboo and wood and started making temporary shops. Permanent shopkeepers and homeowners started protesting to see hawkers build shops. On seeing the crowd of both the sides blocked the rd nearly an hour. police controlled the situation by mild lathi-charge to the people blocking the road. Police arrested a total of 8 people, including five landowners. The hawkers says that they should be rehabilitated but the land owner is not ready to give space in front of their shops or home. On questioning the role of ruling party TMC leader Debu Ganguly says that there is a problem with only 12 hawkers which some people are opposing, hawkers should be allowed to settle the shops. The incident erupted tension in the area.

Police started a case under 144/341/186/353/506 IPC and 8B NH Act, 1956 and 9 M P O Act.Raja Mukherjee, IC KGP (T) said accused persons associated with others 40/50 unknown after forming unlawful assembly being armed with lethal weapon had assembled at Kamalacabin on OT Road and started squatting on the Highway from 11:25 hrs to 12:25 hrs causing total disruption of vehicular traffic and as all of them deliberately obstructed police and deterred them from discharging their public function and as they had pelted stone aiming at Police shouting abusive languages with threat to lives.they arrested at the spot. Biswajit Ganguly (50 yrs) of Inda, Bamunpara, Ward no -23, Sunil Gope (45 yrs)  of South Inda,  Uttam Chandra (46 yrs)of Inda OT Road, ward no -1′ Shraban Agarwal (61 yrs) s/o Lt. of Inda, OT road, Danal Rahul (23 yrs) s/o of South Side Bikash Das (56 yrs)  of Inda, Kamala Cabin Ward No. 01,  Dipak Bag (45 yrs)  of Inda Bose Para, Ward No. 23 & Atanu Pal (43 yrs) of Vidyasagarpur, Ward No. 02.

SI Swarup Mukherjee seized the 02 flex in the name and styled as “Inda Landloard’s Welfare Association” and 05 bamboo pole & 04/05 brick bats. all the accused produced before acjm kgp where judge rejected the bail plea & sent all the accused to jail custody.
