Ujjawal kr Ghatak state vice president shivsena Bengal demanded governor Jagdip dhankad to direct Govt of West Bengal to facilitate transportation urgently for all migrated Labourers and Goldsmith brothers stranded outside West Bengal, issue vehicles passes for those who arranging private vehicles on their own to return to West Bengal. It is pertinent to mention that District Collector Office / BDO’s are denying to issue such passes and as a result several migrated Labourers and Goldsmith brothers are returning back by walking of hundreds of miles.
Ujjawal claimed that there are around three lakhs Goldsmith brothers of Paschim Medinipur District itself are stranded in Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Ankola, Jalgaon, Ahmedabad, Jaodhpur, Delhi, Haryana, Bhatinda, Simla, Indore, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam, Secunderabad, Vijaywada, Chennai, etc. Govt of West Bengal are not aware of all these locations and total no of peoples stranded, as no such databases are maintained by Govt of West Bengal.
He reqest Rehabilitation and Resettlement of all such migrated labourers, Goldsmith brothers and several in-house labourers of our state, as many of them are jobless now and hence their family members are surviving in very difficult situations.
